Default LS Hatch I.M. question

I have an empty port on my IM and Im throwing a code 14 (IACV).....I took off my IACV yesterday and cleaned it and still I have the code.

What else can make the ECU throw that code? Im ODB-0 and am running a PR4.

I have an empty port on my IM that when I plug it the car dies. Is that making it throw a code?

Where should this hook up too?

Any help will be great

I just recently dd an lsvtec conversoin on my car and had the same port open. I had an extremely high idle and it took me about five minutes to see what the problem was.

I plugged off that port and the idle returned to normal parameters. You should try raising your idle and plugging it.

Is your IACV fully plugged in?

Its fully plugged in. I plug that port and the car instantly dies. I tried resetting the ECU with it plugged and it ran fro a moment idling at ~500rpm and then died. At this point I have no idea why my IACV code is up or what that port is sopposed to be.

sounds to me like your IACV is shorted or perhaps clogged somewhere in side of it.

take it off, hose that **** down with brake cleaner... double check everything about it. Even run a continuity check on it to make sure it's even sending a signal...

I imagine that your car dies because that port you plug up is the only source of air for the engine. Open up your idle valve a little more... something is keeping your engine from breathing.
