I bought a ported intake manifold and throttle body for my 92 civic w/ b16a2. I sold the car to my friend and he wants to buy the intake manifold and thorttle body. It is a 74 mm TB. Im thinking its entirely to big for being a stock motor. The intake mani is port matched for the 74 mm TB and the runners are ported also. Is this setup gonna supply to much air and hurt performance?? All he has is I/H/E. He also got bigger valves put in when he burnt a valve and had new ones put in if that amtters.

 

i would agree with you entirely the smaller stock TB will create more velocity and work much better witht eh stock engine it wont be too much air that is the problem the air just moves too slow

 

74mm too big i say 62mm max on anything stock and 63 to75mm depening what mod the motor

 

i figured it would be. Ill see if i can get a smaller one then.

 

what if you threw some cams in there and Vafc or hondata??
