**Installing bulb into JDM ITR HID headlights NEED HELP**
I recently picked up a set of oem jdm itr hid headlights. A few weeks ago I tried to wire them up, but eventually found out there were no bulbs in the headlights
Anyway, I finally ordered a set of philips D2S bulbs but I'm confused as to how the bulbs mount to the back of the headlight itself. I can't seem to understand how they "lock" into place.
I'm hoping I'm not missing a piece in order to properly install the bulbs into the headlight housing.
I'll try to get pics later.
If anyone has pics of the back of their oem jdm hid headlights without the ballast, it would be a big help to me.
thank you

the metal bracket is holding it there, be carefull not to break your 200 $ HID bulb filament putting it in place! you are lucky if your light isin't installed on the car otherwise it's a ******* bitch, it took me an hour putting the light in with the headlight on a shelf, and still had a hard time with all the unscrewing and ****... basically its the same metal lock as volkswagen golf new gens and new mazda protege's.. you need to clips the metal to the screw with the light in place, and its hard to put hook it back up with the bulb in place, u might wanna use a sort of snake tongue split screwdriver to press the metal latch back into place... you'll probably need it..
i personnaly installed mine and it blew my old HID D2S bulb after 10 minutes of driving, so i need to check if i dont have a short on my wiring with a test light first before burning a new 200$ light bulb... I need to reinstall one with the headlight on the car this time, probably gonna be one hell of a bitch to do, it would almost be easier taking off my bumper and headlight... hope this helps

Probably not but it would probably make it a whole lot easier if you removed the bumper so you could remove headlight to take ballast apart.

oh alright..im not even sure if its my bulb thats the problem it could be the ballast...a few months ago my headlight started to turn purple when id turn it on, then dim out, flicker and turn off...if i turned the headlights off and then back on itd turn on again but only for about a minute and do the same thing. now they just dont turn on at all, what does that sound like to u guys?
