Default B18C6 dyno

I did my first trip to the dyno today (next will be with SMSP goodies ) and got the following results... It was on a brake dyno btw. I'm a bit disappointed with the results...what do you think?
My mods are:

-Comptech Icebox
-K&N filter
-modified P73 to Mugen N1 ( )
-T1R catback
-Toda flywheel

The guy at the dyno told me most ITRs read lower than 190ps there, but I was expecting a little more then 192,5ps...
Also my VTEC x-over with this ecu is at 4600rpm, but isn't the curve strange???

actually those numbers are kinda low for the mods.
IF u can try the stock ecu map compared with the mugen chip.
A friend of mine in the same kind of dyno (maha) just by replacing the stock filter with a kn and removing the ressonator got 200 ps.

I never understood why people run relashed or chipped ECUs. I dont think Ive ever seen good results with one on a modified ITR. I say ditch that ECU, get a stock one, and run a VAFC that you can atleast TUNE a bit to your particular set up. Just my .02.

Im not sure if those numbers are good or bad on that type of dyno, but that curve does look kinda weird for vtec being set at 4600.

I got this ecu because I don't think there are any good VAFC tuners around here... and I don't know If I should attempt doing it myself...
But I will compare with the stock ecu...

What I don't understand is why the curve is totally linear where VTEC x-over is

Kenji's chip worked fine for my setup 181/129 with just bolt-ons isn't too shabby.. and it ran quite rich. Up towards 9k it was in the 11s. JDM ITR btw... (11:1)

So there is such a thing as a USDM,CDM and JDM ITR but no such thing as a Euro ITR?? Care to explain your theory?

If you still have the EuroITR header + cat, then that's the bottleneck. It's a huge bottleneck. 192,5 HP at the flywheel is somewhat expected.

I think you'll find DutchITR1689 is on the money, I don't think that figure is all that dissapointing with what you have listed, but with a decent header it will rise

I would try another Dyno the next time. Talk to the guys from hondaholics.ch , they can
help you finding a Dyno which reads right. As far as I know they´r planing a Dyno day
in the next month, maybe you can join them.

As DutchITR said do you still have the biggest bottleneck on you exhaust system.
Go dyno her again when your SMSP Header (?) arrived and dont forget a testpipe
or highflow cat.

Here are scans of my Dyno run in Germany, also B18C6 completely stock except a K&N drop in filter

Btw, you still havent tould me the size of your rims

Thanks for the info
Yes the biggest bottleneck will soon be removed with this

Im not doubting you, or Kenji's ECU. His ECU has been shown to make decent gains on many stock and lightly modded ITRs. But for the most part I think most people with modded motors would be better off with something to tune their particular set up. Otherwise people come here and post how disappointed they are with the numbers (in general, not pointing fingers at dc2rgirl) because they heard the same ECU hit like 200whp on some other completely different set up.

My buddy ran 194BHP with standard Euro ITR with removed cat and removed centeral silencer.

With the same setup but a DC sport header it was 202HP

Something has to be wrong, I mean if crossover is in fact at 4600rpm... shouldn't the curve change in THAT area?
The torque curve (top one) just doesn't make sense!

Is that Dave's new metal core cat on the right? Could you take a closeup of that?

We run the MAHA dyno at our shop and an ITR will run about 195 Crank/ 145 Wheel.

My Hatchback with JDM 98 Spec R runs 200 crank /155 wheel

Isn't the Euro R rated at 190? If so the numbers look about right

This one is DIN corrected. I believe in Canada you are using SAE correction?
