My 1997 Acura 1.6 EL MB4
Ok, to all of you guys who wanted pics of my EL, I washed it today... to I'm not as embarassed to take pics... although it's still stock except for the signal lights/corner lights and fogs. Warmer weather is coming soon! I will be updating this thread with more pics as I change things.
To see pics of what was just updated, or to see the most recent pics of the EL... skip to the bottom of this post, it will be the last few pics.
UPDATE: TUNED at 9psi today!
Maximum whp = 204 @ 7100rpm
Maximup wtq = 181 @ 6600rpm

Now I have to take care of my head lift problem by getting a new HG, some ARP studs and I'm gonna install a GE blockguard at the same time.
Dyno pics!
Right click the following and save as:
Tuning partial throttle movie clip
A good look at the AWD dyno! (movie)
If you have a sub on your computer, you can hear exactly what my Ebay exhaust sounds like! That thing is just awesome!!!
Recent pic:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now from the start!
As promised, the car with the H&R Sports on it!
(I left the hubcaps off for the alignment, have been too lazy to put them back on)
N1 installed too.
Front wheelwell, less gap.
Rear wheelwell,
Rims installed (same angles as before... )
Better shot of the exhaust:
Painting the valve cover, some pics!
Here is the painted cover!
Fuel pressure guage installed on top of the filter. (I sell these for $18US, PM me)
Strut bar installed!
Test fit of the turbo and manifold!
Vacuum manifold installed
Coolant/oil feed lines for the turbo, they're capped for now.
Autometer oil pressure guage and vac/boost guage (bad pic):
B&M fuel pressure modifier installed! See the How-To!
-Walbro 255 installed, no pics... it's just a stupid fuel pump.

Pretty much, other than a few exterior panals, all black interior, 26mm front swaybar and a stock rear swaybar. Oh, and a valvecover that everyone wants for some reason...

Yes sir, it does!
It's ugly and cow-spotted right now, but will be getting some black VHT ripple-coat treatment soon enough. (when the weather warms up that is...)

The only "luxury" option it has over the Civic is the leather. Mine is cloth thank god, I'm not a big fan of leather. Taking the suspension into account, I prefer to think of it as more of a 4 door version of the Si without the B series and rear discs...

The stock weight of the car is 1590kgs (about 3500lbs) according to the door sticker. As for the valve cover... it's mine and I won't give it up. I just need to give it a little TLC.

That's weird reading what people say about it... It's just another car up here in Canada...

Re: My 1997 Acura 1.6 EL MB4 (S0uLjHa)
Thanks for all the comments guys! This is now my official build up page, I'll be keeping it updated because I take a lot of pictures... and I've got a lot of stuff to do in the next month and a half.
