Default TPS Adjustment Help

Today i changed my TPS in hopes that it would fix a problem i've been having with my car. Well when i cranked it over my car reved up to 3000 RPM and would idle there. Now I know you are supposed to readjust the TPS when you switch it like i did. so i tried adjusting it and nothing changed. So i checked the voltage on my VAFC and it said at no throttle it is .005 and at Wide Open its only 3.100. I read the how too on here and tried it again but still nothing changed. I even switched back to the old sensor and still it does the same thing. So do any of you have any idea of what can be wrong now. Please help.

at closed throttle its supposed to be .45 to .5 and WOT 4.6-5V
you adjust the voltage by rotating the sensor

you must not be using the volt meter correctly then, i found it easier to read the voltage where the wires go into the ecu instead of the tps plug

You did get the memo about the new cover sheets we're using for our TPS reports right? I'll make sure you get another copy of it...okkkkkkkkkk...

you need to adjust the tps voltage and measure it with a volt meter and not by just reading what the vafc says, theres no way that the WOT voltage is changing and the CT isn't....they both change when the tps sensor is moved. Do a search on how to adjust the tps voltage, you can tell what wires are the tps wire by just tracing them back through the wiring harness and by looking for the same colored wires in the ecu plug as the tps plug

Have you checked for 5V at the TPS plug?

I adjusted my TPS off of the car by balancing the closed and WOT throttle resistances. It was quite difficult as the process is sensitive.

My book is out in my garage and I'm being lazy, but:
WOT resistance 1-2 = closed resistance 2-3
WOT resistance 2-3 = closed resistance 1-2

I may have the pin numbers rearranged, but the jist is there.
