Default Got Minimal Funds and Need a Header Poll

My header got stolen a while back and now my motor is on the verge of being reassembled. Since i do not have the money for an ideal header that i would want im tryin to keep the total under 500. The dealership is asking 400 for a new ITR
4-2-1, which is not too bad being a dealership and all. Or i could get a DC 4-1 for prolly cheaper. I dont want to have to worry about clearance issues with the DC and i want to pick a header that will provide the best flow. Or a may try and hold out to find a JDM ITR 4-1 but time is also an issue. So i want some opinions or some possible alternatives so any opinions are very appreciated.

Except that you could cut the stock exhaust apart and use it for a blade of armor while giving yourself a 40 lb weight penalty

Damn, who'd thought Chris N's header would be ahead in the voting.

Isn't the JDM 4-1 like 375?

I voted for the cheap *** replica. I picked one up brand new for $200US and it seemed to be fine. The welds are total *** but it looks just like the OEM piece.

why dont you buy a Megan header for 200 shipped. 4-1 Stainless steel design. Makes good power.

Does it? How did you come to this conclusion? Any dyno charts, or just the butt dyno?

<--Not flaming, just curious.

butt dyno. My friend ran a 12.5 consistantly with that header(2.0 vtec with jun cams). Its also a very good design for the money, nice welds, nice flange. Sometime you can find them for cheaper than 200.

I have the DC JDM 4-1 SS replica, it was a nice pickup for the $$. If I were you I'd try to get a OEM JDM 4-1. Call around and see how the availability is on those headers.
