ok i got my parts in from honda today, but its shaped like a teardrop...wtf, i thought it was suppose to be a rectangle like the antenna is...





any insight on this? did i get one for an "eg" perhaps?

nope, they sent you the right piece. I have one on my car and it lloks exactly like that. Besides, if it was for an eg, it wouldnt fit, the holes are just slightly off from each other

dam, thats ******* lame, the shape doesnt even match the car...

 

Its not that bad. Never bothered me and im all about cosmetics.

 

hell, i didn't even know they made it. I payed a shop to fill it in when I repainted my CRX.

Right part. My car is black, so I really dont ever notice it.

 

I SHAVE THE ANTENNA'S OFF ALL MY EFs . THEY LOOK BETTER GONE, AND FOR THAT OVAL PIECE IT LOOKS WAY UGLY .... just shave it off- if you dont use it, its the best way to go..

 

dont look at it from 1 foot away you wouldnt even tell

 

Whats the Honda P/N on that?

Wierd my antenna plate was in a teardrop shape to start with, in a metallic gunmetal color.

same here. my stock antenna has a oval base.

 

The teardrop shape's the right one. My '91 CRX DX came without a radio in it; I bought it off the original owner, and he NEVER put a damn radio or stereo in the car! It's still got the teardrop blank plate where the antenna goes...
