My tail lights and headlights are extremely wet inside. I was just thinking about the quickest way to get them to dry up inside so I can re-seal it with some silicon or something like that.

Anyone done this before?

 

well on resealing your headlights you should use liquid silicon. All around!

 

How do I go about sealing the tail light gaskets? And what the hell are they anyways? A part of the actual tail light or is it a rubber strip that lines the spot where the headlight goes?

 

Tailights seem to be a little bit trickier to get apart, they're certainly not as easy as headlights.

For the tailights:
Take them off and make sure they are completely dry on the inside, then run a very small bead all the way around the tailight where the seam is (where the two pieces join together). Use your finger to flatten the bead out a little and smear it. That should seal it up if you do it right.

For the headlights:
Take them off, and you can either open them up and clean the old glue/sealer away, or just do them similar to the tailights.

These lights don't use a rubber gasket, most use some type of silicone or a very thin epoxy type glue to seal them.

You can use ice to get the seams to look nice. Silicone doesn't stick to ice.
