Default B16 rev limiter

I have a question i just installed my B16 in my 91 CRX HF and it seems to hit the rev limiter at about 7800 RPM's and my friends cars hit at 8200 is this just a wierd difference in ECU's or is somthing wrong.

Thanks in advance for any information given

I'm not 100% on this but after SEARCHING HONDA TECH it seems that the auto B16 has a detuned ECU. This is evident by looking at the redline. The auto B16 also has less aggressive cams.

That could be your problem.

swap ecu's with your friend and see if it still does it. More than likely your tach may be a little off.
