Default Project De-Riceify begins today...

UPDATE ON PAGE 3!!

So I bought a turbo d16 EX coupe from a friend. The kid had this car since 14 and is now 19. When he was 15 he did the paint and the body-kit etc, he's had it on since, however now that this car is mine... It's all gonna come off and change in favor of a more clean and simple, stock-like look...

But I wanna post pics to show the rice it is now ... and update every so often with progress... Here's the pics... and the list of change on my mind will be below ... feel free to suggest stuff (just dont flame ... the car IS ricey, but the idea is to show the transformation). Sorry for the shitty camera phone quality...

Here we go....

OMG WORST WING EVAR
*PIC REMOVED UNTIL I GET HOME TO P-SHOP THE PLATE OUT.

And I saw this last night and couldn't resist a pic...

Changes to be made so far....

Stock bumpers and 96-00 EX sideskirts to replace the body kit
No WING!
put the 2 other SI wheels on
All red tails
Black washer nozzles and wipers

Feel free to make suggestions ... just don't flame ... Like I said ... lot's of stuff to be changed...

Hey ... at least it makes 302whp on 16 psi on the GT28RS right? *Shrug

New pics....

Stock bumper (dirty as hell but you get the idea)

Removed decals on the window...

OMG ... PART 2 - Interior de-riceification

More to come....

IMO, you're crazy for buying a car that some kid has been ragging out since he was 14. Not exactly the kind of owner that "respects" the car obviously.

I've seen worse...

Hopefully the engine was built correctly and hasn't been beat on too much... it looks like a nice engine setup to me!

Looks like you just have some cosmetic stuff to take care of which is a lot less work than the engine would be... it's a good place to start from

Have fun and make us proud with the finished product!

He's had the car for 5 years ... bought it with 43k on it ... has 46k now ... barely drove it.

It's tuned by Jeff Evans ... block was built by him as well.

When did that car make 302 hp with that turbo? He put down 300+ with the big *** sc 60 turbo for about 1000 rpms. I never saw the graphs of that car making near that much power with the gt28.

I can't believe you bought that car. Better go to the junk yard to start getting some parts for it.
