Nothing about my setup is different... I have only been to the track 3 times ever, so I just improved on my driving skills. My first time at the track I made 4 runs on used 22 inch slicks, my second time I was on drag radials. This time I just turned the boost up to 12psi, launched off the rev limiter, and never let off the gas until I was across the finish line.
I made 6 runs yesterday...
Run 1: 13.3 @ 102 mph, 1.93 60 foot (boost 10psi, tires 12psi)
Run 2: 14.0 @ 101 mph, 2.30 60 foot (boost 10psi, tires 12psi) redlight and shitty launch.
Run 3: 13.1 @ 104 mph, 1.97 60 foot (boost 11psi, tires 10psi)
Run 4: 12.845 @ 106.90 mph, 1.83 60 foot (boost 12psi, tires 10psi)
Run 5: 12.689 @ 107.21 mph, 1.80 60 foot (boost 12psi, tires 10psi)
Run 6: 12.685 @ 107.46 mph, 1.78 60 foot (boost 12psi, tires 10psi)[/b]
I still thnk there is a little left in my car.

Damn!
Very nice
12's in a coupe with a stock d16z6.... has this been done before? Or are you the first? Most people with built engines don't run those times...
SOHC Powa!

The rev limiter (about 7300 rpms)
I probably could have ran even better times if I raised the rev limit to like 8,000 rpms and lowered my tire presure a little more (7-8psi maybe). First gear was flying by pretty fast.

I was going to say you should have lowered the tire pressure. 8 would have been a good start.

what about your axles

Stock axles and launching at the rev limiter? I have some 24.5x8x13 Mickey Thompson ET Drag Slicks and I want to go to the track this season. I'm on AutoZone axles and am curious what I should launch at. I was also thinking of starting with 10psi tire pressure. Great numbers!

Edit nvm some one beat me to it, god damn this thread moves fast.

This was on stock d-series axles. I was pre-loading the clutch, so basically it was right at the point of engaging when I dropped the clutch.

What do you mean? Using a steady foot to hold the clutch pedal right before the point of engagement?
