Default b16 dyno results #2 post

2nd post on this topic : ' i found the old dyno sheet'

p&p head
3 angle valve job
Stage 2 Gude cams
AEM cam gears/pullys
AEM fuel rail
B&M fpr
Bullfrog TB 62mm
aebs intake manifold
AEM cia
HKS cat back
4-1 header

Just had my b16a2 dyno tuned at aebs - Seemed like low numbers

164.3 - max power and 107.1 torque

6 months ago the guy i bought the car from had it tuned at the same place, only difference was it had JDM type r header and p28 skunk2 ecu and a stock bored p&p manifold

.. So can removing the ecu, type r header (now replace with DC rip off 4-1 header), p&p manifold (now replaced with aebs manifold, soon will be p&p) drop it down to 148whp and 99.7 torque? cause that is what it was ran the 1st run on the dyno

It ended up at 164whp, seems low to what it ran before

Is your motor tuned? My dyno run was 162.4 WHP and 109.5 TQ untuned just a base line. With everything in my sig. plus a chipped ecu. 2 1/4" exhuast and greddy SP muffler and oem cast exhuast manifold. It was dynoed with a hi flo cat. Your HP number can be low due to the engine wear. Different ecu program, Fuel delivery (fuel filter), Spark plug condition, Ect. Small things like that can all add up. I also notice that you HP was still climbing when you revlimited. Compared from you other dyno sheet. 8200 vs almost 8400 rpms. I also saw that you have a P & P head. If the head is not done right you can lose HP.

i made 165whp with 118tq....out of my b16 a while back tuned by Aries when he was at dynamic....with less mods then yours....i think somethings fishy....
i think civic2slo mentioned some good things to keep an eye out for...

who's this aries guy? lol
like i said AJ.... get that leak down and compression check done. you gotta make sure the motor is healthy... considering you lost a quart of oil in one week. i mean even if you don't think its putting out what it should... at least you got a significant hp gain from my tuning.

edit: you might want to check the ecu and make sure it isn't a stock P28 also.

He DOES have a Gude package .... which in my experience with Mr. Gude only leads to crappy results ....... but that's just my experience.
