I do all my swaps. But there is a difference between a junkyard kit for his D series or a quality kit. Either way the prices will be similar. There are so many variables that change cost...
im thinking h22 will be faster. A buddy of mine had a 93 si with the greddy turbo kit in his SOHC vtec and he was only able to hang side by side with my other boy's b16a hatch with i,h,e.

My opinion would be to get the turbo kit and turbo ur mini-me. You can boost around 9-10 pounds on that motor with stock internals and get some fuel management like hondata or urberdata. This will mean the front end of your civic will be lighter meaning better handling. An h22 in that civic will be very heavy and be more of a straight line car rather than a twisty turny car. So which would you rather have its all up to you. Also if you get an h22 youl will be snapping axles rather often due to the stress that is placed on them. So my opinion but im bias too because i have a mini-me that is about to be turboed. SOHC VTEC + BOOST= FUN
