Helpe me start my car.
Ok guys the swap has been completed. I put a D16Z6 into my EG... PUt everything together and when I try to start it, it just turns and doesn't fire up.
I used a battery out of another car incase, no results.... Then I noticed i smelled gas and the small bolt on top of the fuel thingy was leaking because it was loose so I tightened it and tried again. No result. Then I found out that my spark plug wires were not wired up right so I fixed it and rearranged all the plugs. No result still. Checked all the plugs and wires and all that.
A couple things I did notice though. A couple of the times when I tried to start I did feel a really slight rumble. But that only happened once or twice... Also another thing I noticed was when I pump the gas before I start, I hear fukin loud "POP!". And I can smell exhaust a little bit. It's an open header right now so the pop may have been louder because of that.
Anyway caN i get some help guys? List what could be wrong or what to check or what to try
thanks
Oh yeah I made the wiring up like this

I tried the opposite of that too

Putting the wires on the wrong way? Yeah, lots of people do that.

its a sign that your plug wires are on wrong.
its possible that when your intake valve is open the spark plug ignites the mixture and pop, right out the intake manifold.

Dang. I tried that firing order and it still didnt' work. EVs-One, your explanation was kind of confusing so I tried what I thought you were telling me to do, and also another order.
Here is a picture I made. The black line is the first order I tried, and the Red lines are the 2nd order that I tried.
I also changed the spark plugs to brand new ones still nothing. Checked for spark and its good

Have one person try starting the car, and the othere rotate the dizzy. Me and me friends had the same problem when we swapped ina z6 in his cx. Played with the dizzy, rotated it a couple of times and then it fired.
I will try that, thanks. It's grounded at the tranny and the valve cover
oh another thing is. My alternator is tilted to get the plugs to extend far enough to plug into eachother, could that cause a problem? I was under the impression that it doesn't matter

It means you have no stored codes.
Try pulling the dizzy, rotate the crank 180 degrees, and re-install the dizzy. Your timing may be 180 degrees off. Also check your timing on the crank pulley as well.

yeh it does sound like the timing. if you are getting fuel and spark that is really the only thing that could cause it to run like that, i believe.
Just a guess, but maybe you don't have enough back pressure because of the open headers to get it firing. Don't know if that can happen but im just brainstorming.

There is one thing I need to tell you guys. When I was putting the flywheel bolts onto the car, i was tightning the bolts by placing a crossbar in the crank, and then having someone stand on the crossbar while I torque the bolts down. Could this have messed something up?
I doubt it, I think most people just stick a screwdriver in the teeth of the flywheel when doing that, or maybe thats when they are removing/installing the crank pulley. Either way, if the motor is spinning, probably not.
CHECK YOUR TIMING
CHECK YOUR VALVE LASH
CHECK YOUR SPARK PLUG WIRES

Dont try just do. That is whats wrong. Its very common on honda's when people take off the distributor and put it back on with all 3 bolts.

try hand cranking it to top dead center. take the dizzy cap off and make sure the rotor is facing towards the bottom left aka cylinder numero uno
