What product is best for polishing a Spoon Header?
You must use spoon polish on your header. Spoon sells some noname rebadged metal polish for $59/6oz.
Seriously, try Brasso

Use this process, same process Mike M. used on his Mugen header, and I used on my DC JDM ss header.
Sandpaper 800 grit
Sandpaper 1000 grit
Sandpaper 1500 grit
Wet sand 2000 grit
Mothers Metal polish
Buffing cloth, polish clean
Looks PHENOMENAL! It's not all bling bling like it was the first day I got it.. but it has a unique kinda finish. Looks kinda like a titanium header.
Also, I think Kenji did a process similar to this one on his Mugen header. You might wanna email him for details.

Looking over the process Mike listed that should definitely remove anything that is on the header.
Even a buffing wheel and some buffing compound would probably get everything out. I used to play paintball and I would do that all the time on my guns. They were usually chrome or nickel plated.

I use WENOL metal polish

It's waaaay easier than anything else I've tried - including Brasso. Brasso doesn't have enough abrasive in it IMO.
WENOL easily removes fingerprints, oil stains, blueing even when it's baked on.
I wouldn't go nuts trying to get a mirror shine on your header. It will discolor to a pale yellow/brown anyways over time due to the extreme heat of the exhaust gases.

Thanks for the info. I tried regular metal polish and it did exactly nothing, so I'll look for that other stuff. I just want it to look like it got wiped down is all. It's pretty damn ugly as it is.
