Ok ive been trying to figure out what cams these are for a while now. Supposedly they are 96 JDM ITR cams. well after matching them up with FF-Sqaud the intake cam dont match anything they have hosted and the exhaust cam looks identical to a b17 exhaust cam.

They could be anything, you need to get one of those tools to measure the lobes. Find the measurements of the lobes off a 96 type r and see if they match up. Thats what I had to do with my cams because they were type r's, but they looked like b16's.

 

Do what he said ^^ They could be hype RRR's. good luck they are.

 

those are NOT type R cams....I would say b16a or b18c(1) cams because of the 3 rings (protruding) below the one engraved ring.

96-99 R cams have 2 protruding rings - spaced apart (beneath the engraved ring)

I have yet to see PROOF the R cams (that look like B16a or b18c1) exist....every one I have seen with the 3 protruding rings was GSR (& maybe b16a)

if you bought those ask for your money back ASAP

 

yea i hadnt bought them because i couldnt find any proof they where ITR's because just putting them side by side with gsr's the lobes look identical if not smaller. but from what i can remember visually you should be able to tell a diff in lobe sizes between any itr cam vs and other vtec cam.

 

they are stock b18c1's

i have the same identical ones in mine.

 

I'm telling you from personal experience that you cannot tell the difference in lobe sizes, the differences are too minimal to tell. It is also known that all the cams for each specific motor do not look the same. Measure them to be sure and do a search, this has been covered numerous times.

Are you saying you cant tell the differences visually just between OEM honda cams right? Cuz i can identify say, buddy club cams visually.

 

The exhuast cam looks to be a 92-93 B17A cam and the intake looks to be a 99 B16 SI cam...hope that helps...

yea after looking them over with the pics from FF-Squad

the intake cam looks like a 96+ Gsr Intake cam and the exhaust cam looks just like a b17a exhaust cam

 

 

they are gsr cams

some of those pictures are not always correct. my 95 gsr cams look identical to those. because i took them out and though they were b17's but they are not

 

but they are still gsr's

 

better than b16's
