Just as the title states. Does an eg Civic hood fit into the back of an eg hatch? I am pretty sure I have read about people getting them to fit but I wanted to be sure one way or the other (yes I searched, but had no luck). I am going down South this weekend to get a car and the guy still has the OEM hood but I wasn't sure if it would fit or not. Thanks

Yes. I have done it twice with a VIS cf hood in a 94 hatch.

it was in a ek hatch tho

 

when i ordered my CF hood for my '94 hatch, i removed it from the shipping box but left the bubblewrap that covered it on there and it fit (barely) with the back seats and passenger seat folded down and the driver seat uncomfortably close to the steering wheel.

 

It will fit only in hatches not a coupe of course make sure not to scratch anything though. Good Luck!! It should fit.

 

yes.matter of fact,just loaded an EK hood into my friend's EG hatch today.also had EG hoods in my hatch numerous times.
edit:this was with full interior too.
edit#2:it will not fit in a 5th gen coupe(and i'm assuming 6th gen too)-i tried before in my coupe to carry my new hood to the bodyshop instead of installing beforehand-didn't fit.

yes it does!!!!!! i put 2 fenders and the hood in the back of my hatch and it will fit!!

 

i wouldn't take a chance and scratch it. just find someone with a truck or van that give you a hand

Yup. I put a 93 Civic hood and a 95 Del Sol hood in my hatch. Just turned it sideways and it fit fine, but I'd wrap it with something to avoid scratching or chipping.

 

Yeah, definitely will take a thick blanket.

oh sweet... I love bubble wrap, can't wait to get my CF hood now.
