I washed my car for the big meat this weekend. So I hose the wheel with strong current water and paint chips off.

Has this ever happened to you?



I dont expect the paint to be of good quality considering i got the wheels for $450.

I don't know if it had anything to do with the overexposure to Eagle One All Wheel and Tire cleaner. I usually let it sit for 30 seconds then i start wiping the wheels with sponge.

eww, that sucks, I never use that wheel cleaner stuff....just soap and water...

first time i've seen that happen tho...

It's all good. I didn't expect much from Tenzo anyway. I mean sooner or later my **** will fade and it'll eventually become Tenzo Sinko Flat black. Besides where I live, you dont want the real deal. I can't afford another beater so this beater is it.

 

I've seen wheels lose a chunk of clearcoat with a powerwasher, but never just a regular hose.

don't worry, quick fix: red nail polish!

 

I would contact tenzo and see what they can do worst case touch up paint or paint the whole wheel silver or whatever you like.

I'd just take aircraft remover and rock them in silver or paint them white

Well i was using one of those adjustable nozzles and set the stream to thin and concentrated on that one spot i thought was gunk. Seconds later it came it off.

word, rota honestly, there' ain't nothing wrong with rota...personally, i've never seent hem **** up...best bang for the buck...

ROTA doesnt have BS like that

 

I had the exact wheels in gunmetal and it never did anything like that. And I used the Eagle One and a few other products several times. Someone did something wrong before you those?

Also, I didn't think the Tenzo's came in that color scheme, only Rota's. So they might have been painted before you got them.

 

My old work copies did that in 00, but since i always paint wheels, it was no biggie
