Yet another problem.....CEL 1....O2 Sensor
lets see if the honda-tech gurus can get me out of a jam once more. seems like everytime i fix something, another thing breaks, but whatever. So i had problems idling my car, getting my distributor to work right, and other things. The setup is sohc vtec w/ greddy turbo kit in a 94 DX hatch. Well i warmed the car up a bit before taking it for a test drive around the block (car hasnt driven more than 2 miles since swapping in my new motor) and at first, everytime i shift into a different gear the car would sorta hesitate and bog for about a second or two and then pick up. After driving for about 1 mile the car was shifting fine and everything was all good...no bogging what-so-ever. Then i decided to get on it.....about 2/3 throttle getting a little boost and then the CEL came on. I was only about 1/2 mile from home the car would bog down hard and stuff. Was this the ECU limp mode? and did i fry my sensor or something? also the car smelt a little exhausty all today while i was running it (even before the test drive). Oh yeah and the 02 sensor is mounted in the dp pretty high up and i do still have a cat. what should i do?
i had the same problem with my motor but the set up i have is ls in my cx h/b. recently i got rid of the problem and i'm still not sure where the problem came from. i just changed the spark plugs, wires, the coil in the distributor and changed the engine harness b/c i was using a cx harness for the motor (long story). if u want to ask me more about it so i can help pm me
tested my tps. .5 to 4.5 perfectly. coming back down right around 3.7 or so it drops to .37 then back up to 3.5 but it does the same thing on my stock gsr and that car runs cherry. also does it on my stock beater 96 4 door civic.
