Spoon N1 Coilover Pics
Well, we installed the suspension last week, and the weather was finally nice, so I had a chance to take some pics, and also do a quick drive for some testing. Of course, the real test will happen when I take it to the track, hopefully in Feb or March. First, the pics:

As far as looks go, the car looks sick!
I love the lowered look. However, there's scraping going on everywhere. I think I'll raise the car about an inch for street driving, and adjust the height accordingly.
Driving impressions:
I'm surprised at how compliant the ride is. I drove it at '1' all around, then adjusted to 3r/2f, and yes, the ride is stiff as hell, and bumpy, but on clean roads and surfaces, no problems at all. I think with the addition of the Mugen front tower bar, I've achieved the results I was looking for. There's no bodyroll and the car can take corners so flat, it's unbelievable. Turn-in is much improved from before, I suspect that I can now take corners with a bit higher speed and prepare the car for turn-in with a lot more confidence.
Again, the real impressions will come once I get a chance to track the car.

14kg/mm front, 16kg/mm rear. I basically swapped the front springs with the rear ones.
I plan on running at '4' all around for the damper settings on the track.
'1' all around is good for the street.

I also have spoon N1 coilovers but have 14kg front springs and 12kg rears, i have the front shocks on #2 for street driving and the rears on #1 as anything higher i tend to get the rear end skipping on bends. Why have you the harder spring on the rear and a harder setting also for the rear...oversteer????

I thought Koni has already done a test on the Mugen N1? If not I think Clayton (Ausmith) mentioned that they have the dyno info.

I have the same ones!
You will enjoy them a lot!</TD></TR></TABLE>
Haha, and who was the person that recommended them to me initialy?
Thanks for that tip.
I'm definitely liking it already, but the main test will come at the track of course.
BTW, BPR, do you experiment with various damper settings? I think 3/2 would be a good starting point, and eventually I'm thinking about running 4/3 or maybe 4/4 as I get more comfortable. I'm not sure that I'd ever need to go 5 f/r, at least not on the tracks I drive around here.

I'm sure he will after we get the height adjusted to a non-rubbing state and hit the track 1x. The car feels great now. MUCH better than the Lowdowns.
