Default Radiator fan not workin

Rad fan doesn't come on when the car is running. But BOTH fans come on when AC is on. Any ideas?

one fan comes on when your temp gets half way and one comes on when you turn on AC. I dont know why both would come on

yah, 4th gen.

This car has had a few overheating problems in the past.
I thought that the main rad fan would come on as soon as the car was started, it does that in my other cars.
even if that is not the case, it still doesn't come on, even when the car is overheating.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Chase &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the fans do not come on when the engine is cold. If the thermostat hasn't opened yet then the rad fan should not be on. The temp switch in the t-stat housing is rated @ 192F i think...or is it 210...i forget</TD></TR></TABLE>
But if you said the fan is not working even when it gets hot then its most likely the temp switch.

does the thermostat control when the fan comes on as well as letting water through?

Pull the harness plug out of the thermo housing and jump it. This will activate the fan if the switch is bad.
