Default Opinions on OMNIPOWER valve train components

now i know that Steve the OmniMan is the ish and all but i'd like to here from people using his stuff. It's not that i'm doubting his R&D skills but something is weird about buying a full valvetrain (dual spring, ti retainers and chromolly/incolel valves) for less then $500 when most Stainless valves alone cost almost 2/3 of this plus another $250+ for springs and retainers. I saw this setup on Password JDM today and I was in shock on how cheep this stuff is, i mean $205 shipped on a FULL SET of valves is crazy. But yeah i'd like to here more about this setup and also if it's safe to rev upto 9000 with Skunk2 stage IIs on it.

For the Pics people:

It is some of the best stuff out there. He runs his stuff in his daily driver that makes over 240whp.

I've been watching the ups and down up these components for awhile now. Basically, there is no downs. Omni is top quality product that is priced just right. It's not that its too low, its that everyone else (ie. Skunk2) has lost their damn minds. Anyways, here are the high points.

1. Easy on the cams (do to seat pressure) so your cams will enjoy a smooth ride.
2. The retainers "snap" into the valves. That displays great fitment and therefore reduces wear greatly.
3. Fairly light compared to other trains of the supposed "same quality"..

Never the less, you'll be making a wise decision by going Omni anything and i'm sure 90% of the people on this board agree.

Hope this helps. Good luck with everything and let us know how all turns out.

BTW, if you ever hear Omniman tell the story about why he started working on cars and why he started this company to make car parts, you will understand the low price.

yea steve had alot of hard knocks with his own personal cars coming up. I guess that really meant alot to him. hes really dedicated himself to this and it comes out.
I consider myself lucky for having worked with him on that b16 project and a few other things. got to see some great stuff and hope for more in the future

I have a question...What cams and cam gears would be the best fit for a Omni Valve Train setup?

Omnipower is good stuff. This comes from personal experience not just assumptions. The parts are affordable like they should be. Some companies have their **** priced like its gold.

Would the buddy club racing spec 3+'s go well with these in a GSR? I am looking at some options since I want to rebuild my motor.

thanks for all the replys guys! yeah i saw the video with the 200hp B16 (which is what inspired us to start our own All Motor B16A2 project in my friend's 00 Si) and saw that part with him talking about his hard knocks. I was more then likly going to use this setup even if some people had some negitives to say about it. Just a small question tho, can any machine shop do a 3-angle job on the inconol exhaust valves seeing that it's such a hard metal? oh yeah and Happy Holidays everyone

OMNI is good ****, no doubt about that. I'm getting them with my Blox setup.
I'm rocking full Omni valvetrain, OMNI coilovers and OMNI LCA's. LOL
