My goal here is to try to get the most complete list of parts here for this swap, as it seems many folks have questions pertaining to this particular setup. All you guys that have done this setup please add your opinions and experiences. Thanks
waterpump from a vx, the oil filter can be from ex, vx, whatever. vx timing belt, thermostat can be from any obd1 sohc, hoses I got were for a d15b7 (dx) so those will probably be the same for all obd1 sohc,
What do i need as far as injectors go? The stock injectors are broken and im not sure what injectors to use. I'm converting to OBD1 also. Z6 injectors? Thanks
If you are converting to obd1 you have two options. Either use your stock injectors with the injector box, or eliminate the injector box and use the obd1 injectors.
Well 2 of the stock injectors are broken, so they need to be replaced anyway. So whats my best bet? Are z6 injectors OBD1? Thanks for the help.

Hold up, what about mounts. Do we just reuse the stock mounts from our cars? Or do we need to mix and match parts?
What about a wiring harness....should i convert to mpfi then use the OBD1 conversion, or just use a 92-95 ex harness? Thanks for the help guys.
wow, its amazing how the ef has really turned into the POOR MANS HONDA. u guys need to search a little bit on all this stuff, its not a hard swap to do at all, and some of the parts u have specified are wrong.
1st off, all honda injectors are the same size (whith 5 exceptions) 88-91 is obd0 92-95 is obd1 and 96-00 is obd2. they are all 240cc, from the civic dx to the integra type r, all 240cc, EXCEPT. CRX HF, 190cc. civic cx 190cc. civic vx 190cc. H22 prelude 345-360cc. and all dual point cars are different too.
you need the full ex head, bolt that **** on, but make sure to remove the oil retention plug, or no vtec for you. you need the oem water pump (works fine), the oem thermostat, (works fine) and the oem oil filter. also the vx timing belt is wrong. you want the ex timing belt. the vx is to short and will whine.
convert the are to mpfi, the get an obd1 conversion harness, thats really the best way to make this setup run.
and now my brain just shut down, so if u guys have any more questions, pm me

whats the ex head for....we're talking about a D15B swap. Anyways, i wasnt sure if 92-95 dx injectors would work. Thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for the imput Brett, but you sir need to read the title of the thread before posting. This is specific the the JDM d15b vtec engines advertised all over the place. There is no usdm equivelent of this motor. Got mine from usedforeignengines.com, excellent shipping, very helpful, and I highly recommend them.
