Ok the tein site gives a part number for edfc for the tein ss with pb mounts, on the other hand they do not give one for the ss's without the mounts, is this correct?.... I have searched this and i cant get a strait answer. Some say it will fit, others will insist it doesnt. I need the right answer from the experienced one.. I need this answer to help me decide on suspension.

I don't think the SS can be used with the EDFC, I think you need to upgrade to the FLEX setup or better. Don't quote me on that but my friend has SS on his Civic and I don't remember seeing anywhere to hook anything into them. But it's been a while...

 

i'm pretty sure you can't. the flex, yes you can but not the SS.

who cares it's useless anyway. i mean come on ... do you REALLY need to adjust your shocks that often and are you that lazy that you can't get out and turn some *****? it's illegal in HC and IT as well.

spend that $300 on something more useful. like getting the rear shocks revalved for higher rates.

 

Tein recently came out with the SS-P (I think it is) that is supposed to be compatible with the EDFC.

 

hummm....Ok, thanks for all the replys but this is what all the threads i searched before had...Im pretty sure... Im not positive but.. I would like to sum this up so i can go through with the purchase i look forward to the edfc because i want to adjust the ride while going down the road and have presets for my driving pleasure.

Who knows for sure?..........BTW SS-P is Super street w/PB mounts

do you already have the SS on your car now?

when i had mine the difference from full soft to full stiff was not of that great of a magnitude. i really didn't notice a difference in ride comfort if i had them full stiff or full soft. handling yes, ride comfort no because the springs are so soft (especially in the rear). i just kept the fronts full soft and the rears full stiff all the time for 'good' handling.

if you don't have them on yet, put them on and experiment with the shocks yourself so you can judge how 'necessary' that thing would be for you.

 

Alright I bugged the people at Tein and The edfc is compatable with the SS unit as long as it has the pillow ball upper mounts the.. SS-P
