being different..... Remote mount turbo?
i guess with the aftermarket available, this wouldnt be necessary but what about remote mounted turbo like up under the rear end of the car. Like the LS1 fbody turbo kits?
i know a guy with a 90 cavalier who was just messing around and put a junkyard turbo out of some DSM i believe and fabbed up the piping. looked kinda neat and worked pretty good. if you can cut and bent your own tubes, that would be real cheap way of doing a turbo. you wouldnt need turbo manifold. or a muffler as the turbo will replace it and quiet down the exhaust. Opinions on this?

It's GD retarded when you can buy a great fronty mounted turbo manifold for 300 bucks. The rear mount **** on LS1's adds a SIGNIFICANT amount of lag, figure around 1000 RPM's with the same turbo vs. a conventional kit, which you really don't need to make any worse on hondas. By the time you buy a nice header to make some power with the kit you could have already had the turbo manifold, downpipe, catback, wastegate, and been working on the intercooler.
LS1 F-Body with not much room = good idea
Honda with lots of room, cheap turbo manifolds = bad idea

i saw a guy do a remote mount turbo on a 4th gen civic four door with a ZC motor in it. Kinda cool. He put it over where the battery used to be under the hood.
