Default Holy ****! Can this be fixed?

I was riding around my neighborhood today with no hood on when I noticed something really odd...when I accelerated the right fron side of my car would lift like 3 inches, and when I depressed the brake it went 3 inches in the opposite direction. closer inspection revealed a crack in my frame in front of my passenger mount. I did not do this swap (H22A in a CRX) nor do I know who did, but it looks like they did a crappy job when they cut out the frame. I dont care I got the car for dirt cheap, I just need to know if i should fix it or pull the motor and trash the body. thanks.

You can fix that you will to lay steel plate over the crack and weld it.

It will work ,its before the strut tower so it should be a easy fix after you get ever thing squared and straighted back up.

Yeah I can definitely tell that somethings not lined up, the left headlight is like sitting crooked and the bumper doesnt line up on that side. Thanks alot for the advice. I was thinking about getting rid of the car.

Does it run fine besides the other problems?

It needs a few minor things- it has a fluctuating idle between 1500-2000 rpm. not at idle but when you rev it up to 1500 it fluctuates. The other day when I was unplugging the ecu pulled a wire loose and havent re-soldered it yet. so v-tec stopped working. but these are simple problems. the car has a six-puck unsprung with a fidanza 8lb. flywheel the head is fresh, less than 500 miles, it has a 30,000 mile block. no grinds in tranny. very smooth. the body is almost perfect besides the to fenders have a few dents. I ran the car 3 times - a 13.7 then 13.9 then 13.5 this is on street tires with alot of wheelspin, I wasn't used to the car, only had it a day before I ran it.

it could be fixed, put it on a frame machine, get that thing squared back up and even and weld that sucker up with some reinforcement.

make the the car is STRAIGHT. Use measuring points from the manual for the front end.

Once its straight, Weld both sides. Then lay a 1/8" plate over it and weld all the way around the plate, do this on both sides. Use a large mig or an arc welder. On the mig run 0.035" wire and do a vertical up mulit-pass. If your using an arc welder i recommend. 7018 run it around 135-140 and use 3/8" rods.

When i say both sides, i mean both sides of the crank, both sides of the car is obvious.

Goodluck.

If you want to sell PM me.
