help...any one dropped an '05 RSX?
we tried eibach springs, no luck...the direction of the spring is different on each side (front).
apparently no one out here in the az area has tried it yet...so we just wasted a day because eibach said they would work, and they don't

the stupidest thing you can do. just wait for springs to come out for the new 05s

so, no one has tried anything else? there has to be someone out there who has tried something and succeeded...our deadline is friday for this car, its either i deliver it with a drop, or (well, i really don't know what will happen...probably nothing). but it would have been nice to get this done and on the road.

05 rsx springs are wound differently vs. 02-04 man... no 02-04 spring will work. you'll probably have to go out and get coilovers.
edit: to clarify i think its only the front suspension.

You called H&R, eibach, Ground Control, Tein, etc. to see if they have any 05 applications? Otherwise, you're gonna need to get a 02-04 full coilover setup to make it work.
Yea you should try to put coilovers in plus its much better than having springs, I made the mistake of putting just springs on my rsx car looked sick when it was dropped but it want that great of a ride then I ended up w/ the tein flex coilovers.

you can (i dont recommend) retro fit 02-04 shocks and then install the springs...
downside is, loss in suspension performance... all on you really... is this for a customer or something?

do you work for eibach, just curious? i'm sorry for bashing, i'm not trying to be an ***, it was just frustrating...plus we had to pay the tech for his wasted three hours. i just wish eibach would reimburse us for something, but oh well...

Did you do just springs? I just installed Tein S techs (will have pics in appearance forum this weekend) and it doesnt ride too bad. I still have stock struts in there. I figured since i have to destroy the front struts to replace them i will ride them out for a few months. I will then install Koni yellows which i already have.
Would the springs with konis also not ride as well in comparison to like the tein flex coilovers?
Also want to add that the info on the different wound springs for 05 is good to know. I always figured if i upgrade to an 05 i could swap my suspension. I guess not
