I am starting to get majorly pissed off...I broke yet another bolt on my suspension. I am beginning to hate working on my car. I'm so frustrated that I just want to give up. However, I can't because I need a car by wednesday. ****!!!!
Sorry, just had to vent.

Oh, a couple bolts on the rear LCA I believe. I have sprayed them with penetrant stuff and waited for a while, then I used my breaker bar, then I used my air tools, then my breaker bar again...the breaker bar effectively BROKE them. It sucks.
Good idea Teken.
PhatGSR...I know how you feel man. When I took off my exhaust I had my feet against the car and broke every damn thing off. I also dragged my fists across the brake shields and nearly cut them off (my hands). I hate rust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just spray a ton of PB on it, and use the bar. Go slowly
And bring lots of food and beverages

I did my suspension recently and I ended up buying all of the back suspension parts brand new because of all the bolts breaking like Ice. Also a couple of my drill extracters broke inside the holes of the bolts i was trying to extract. Ahhhh that was a bitch but oh well i got it done I'm actually really happy that I replaced all the arms now.
A peace of advice from me is anytime your doing the rear suspension on a honda or acura that is 4 years or older I would do this:
Before you even think about taking anything off I would spray PB, WD40 or any other bolt penatrant of your choice on everybolt you plan on taking off, for about 2 weeks everyday. I strongly recomend you using air tools or actually an impact gun because the gun is pritty stong on unbolting bolts and it has the hammering feature that moves and kicks the bolt around to get it to loosen up.
With Brakerbars just build up lots of torque that will eventually cause you to snap the head off on those weak bolts.
Even all of that you still might have a bolt or two brake on you, and thats just how it is.
Also before you plan on taking the rear struts out I would buy some rear lower controll arm busings in case that bolt does decide to brake
.Just trying to help out....

This doesn't change the situation above at all... But as a suggestion to purchase higher tensil strength SS bolts for the replacements... I did that to almost 90% of my entire vehicle...
It will save you alot of headaches and problems down the road... Grade 10 bolts or better if you have access to a few big retailers...
It costs me almost $400.00 for all the bolts, washers, and nuts... But then again the vehicle is my very first since new... And am pretty sure that the underside will outlast another 10 more years of harsh winters in the Bad Lands...

The issue with the LCA bolts getting stuck is not the LCA bolts themselves but the metal sleaves that are inside the vulcanized rubber bushings get rusted. They are nothing more than cast metal tubes. The LCA bolts are zinc coated, which is a VERY resistant coating.
I would STRONGLY recomend that unless you have some VERY special SS fasteners (I am talking over $80 each bolt) that you return to the factory bolts and apply some aluminized anti-sieze.

But for those who are willing to spend the extra $$$ there is always a better option... I am simply expressing my IMO that a little here and there (will) gaurantee them many more trouble free years against breakage and rust...
