new clutch bad after 200 miles?
OK so yesterday I finaly get the motor running perfect......... and i had wheel bearing problems so i go to the hobby shop today put 2 new wheel bearings and change the oil again. I put it all back together start it up and it wont go in to gear. So i shut it off and push in the clutch and move the shifter threw the gears with no problem. I put it in first and put the clutch down and try to start the car.. and it lurches forward like the clutch isnt disengaging all the way... So im like WTF... So i bleed the slave and there was NO air in the lines. i try to start it again and the same thign happens.. So i put it in neutral and start it and it starts but will not go in to gear. So now im real upset...I have someone pump the clutch as i watch the handle on the tranny and the slave is pushing it a good inch or more. So i pull the starter out to check and see if the pressure plate bolts are all tight.. and they were all tight... i put the starter back in and hop in and start it and the same thign happens.. i walk away for like 5 min cause im realy upset by this time. I hope in again decide im going to drive it ill start it in gear and go.... but i hop in and then it shifts fine...... so i drive it a few blocks and coem back and it was fine... so i clean up my stall then pay the hobby shop and leave.. i went from the hobby shop oon cherry point to half way to the morehead city walmart and i notice a noise when i let off the gas when i accelerate. I tried shifting up and down and it worked ok but made like a wine noise(like the noise your breaks make when they are first turned but a lot louder) so i turn around and come back to base.. i was goign about 55 and i pushed in the clutch let the motor slow down and with the clutch in i put it in each gear it mad the noise when it was in second but not the others. I get to the main gate show my ID and start to take off and hear almost grinding as im letting the clutch out untill its all the way out then the noise stops. When i sit at a idle i hear a noise coming from the tranny sounding like a bad throw out bearing because it stops when i push the clutch in. Now when i put the motor together i put a BRAND new ACT clutch pressure plate and bearing. And yes i used the alignment tool as well. so does anyone have any ideas? I CANT WIN!!!
that sucks i got to pull the ******* **** AGAIN ans then wait for the company to send me a new one after i send them my old one.. that will take another 2 freaking weeks....
Yup, I was gonna say it sounds like maybe a spring popped loose.
Try jackin up the car and removing the flywheel cover on the tranny housing and see if there's any metal sitting in the bottom below the clutch.

Good idea
I heard that some of the act throughout bearings can have
premature failure, maybe that could be the problem.
Did you grease the inner part of the bearing that slides on the shaft
when you installed it?
If it does end up being the to bearing, I would put an oem one in
even if act sends you a new one with the new kit.
good luck

Update**
I just drove it one more time to have someone else listen to it. On the way home i wanted to see what happened whil moving....
well it does not matter how fast the car is going... because when i step on the cluch and put it in neutral and i rev the rpms up to 4.5k or higher it has that loud grrrrrrrrrrrrr sound.. not a gring but not a rattle... kinda of like a fast rattle..

I would pull your tanny asap, I had a bolt come out of my flywheel and go straight through my transmission bell housing. and 2,000 dollars later after I had to buy a brand new transmission housing, bearing kit, flywheen, clutch...ouch.
First thing tommarow morning I am going to change the tranz fluid. Some seem to think it may be low or something. I hope that is the problem.. If it doesnt fix it im pulling the motor again. Ill check the clutch over real well. If its not that ill go threw the tranny real well... BUT if it is the motor the car is gone!!!! Im not dumping another 6000+ in to a motor..
