Default Fake J's Racing Intake [w/ Pics]

So a few people have been asking about these things. I snagged one a couple of weeks ago and slapped it on riggity right quick.

This is from Memoryfab.com (http://www.memoryfab.com/detail/?id=25). $180 (+shipping) for the CF version (as shown). They have a non CF one which is cheaper but I can't seem to find it on their website anymore?

Inside...

All the misc. hardware. I like because the hose isn't some phunky color like neon blue ...

Installed on B18C (R) on a stock ITR TB in an EG (er..EJ1) chassis. You have to play around with it a bit, but it fits well.

Sorry. Bad pix. My camera works like ***.

Yeah go on and flame the CD thing. I didn't have anything else around.

K thats it.
It sounds pretty sik. Cleaner, more crisp. A tiny bit better mid-to-top range power (or maybe that's all in my head).
And it looks a hell of a lot better than the previous intake which we just threw on there because we just needed something that would work.

How the hell do you secure the *****? I just got mine in the mail and I dont know what the hell to do with the metal L rod that comes with it. No bolts or instructions are included.

From your picture, it looks like you secured to the bolt holding your A arm into place. Do I have to remove that bolt completely? And then you rest the intake on the metal? Is this the correct way?

Also to whoever said theirs hits the line running from the fuel filter to the fuel rail. Mine does too, but its ok if i bend the line down a little. I just cant figure out how to use the metal L bracket included to secure the meat of the intake.

The one from sportcompactonly is on another forum where it showed that there was no gain in hp or torque. In fact it lost hp and torque. the sportcompactonly is also not the same size and dimension as the j's or the memory fab intake maybe that was why it lost power.
