Fender Roll or Tuck ?? who's done it? pics?
Looking for people who have done the fender roll trick or whatever it is.
i searched, found a few threads, but they were filled with what seemed like sarcastic/non-helpful replies.
is there a how to? what's it all about and it's purpose? pics would GREATLY help.
edit: http://www.robsaudiworld.com/fender.htm <-- found that link . . but what i was concerned with was, i took off the fender well guard, and you ca nsee with the fender meets the body, it's like a ¼" depth (i'll take a picture tomorrow) and i was worried that if the tire went high enough it would hit that and puncture the tire, anyone know what i'm talkin about? has that happened or will it never reach up that high?

please inform us more on what the outcome of doing this is??? is it so you can lower the car more without the fender damaging your tire?????

thats the idea.. i mean right now i'm on neuspeed springs... so i cant go lower, (use to have skunk2s) but i'd like to buy some teins in the future and go lower . . dont want to puncture a tire or anything

I believe it was Jon V that had the same concern, regarding the metal edge slicing the tire if the car goes too low.
Some say hammer that part and some say cut away the whole thing, and weld it seamlessly.
I prefer the second choice.

thats EXACTLy what i'm talkin about
for those that hae welded it though, is there any issues with taking off the fender? is that even pat of hte fender or is that just part of the chasis?

theres one other method that involves a baseball bat or a piece of metal tubing or something.....but when you say cut away the whole thing and weld it what is there to weld? if you did cut off the lip on the fender you better believe that all that bare metal where you cut is going to rust, and not only that, but your fender may loose some of its strength and become flimsy. if your not up to it or dont have the right tools to roll them up farther i would say start getting estimates at body shops in your area

this might sound kinda ghetto but it works. take a WOODEN baseball bat. it has to be wooden so the paint wont chip. with the wheels on the car, wedge it in between the tire and fender. roll the bat down the wheel while pushing down on the handle. you wont bend it enought just doing it one time, you have to repeat it like 10 times. i laghed when my friend told me about it, but he did it right in front of me and it worked good.
