JDM OEM Rear Struct Tower bar : Fake or Real?
Ive never heard of a oem rear strut bar for an itr or any honda/acura passenger car at that. But as long as it's clean i'd rock it
find out if it's hollow,if it is then it's real
but from the pics it looks real and yes the sticker you put on yourself

Pay close attention to the "R" in the sticker. It should have the same effect as the "R" on the side of your car. Glittery/sparkly, not solid red.

OEM Rear Strut was option, I purchased one for mine from Honda and it does look like that. They are not JDM Bling thou, they were available in European DM and I would assume USDM too.
The sticker looks to me like its correct, I can get a foto of mine if ure really want it :-)

strut bars matter, i took my car for a drive with and without them and cornered aggressively. I felt more bodey roll without them. Is it huge, I would say no, noticable I would say yes. I have a spoon front and rear and I noticed a jump in performance when I got em. The Spoon also sits ontop of the shock tower in the front which seems to be better too. They r also a lot beefy than the stock FSB.
just my 2 cents

I agree^^^^^
Even the EBAY specials are hollow, so you can't use that as a point of verification.
The sticker should be sparkly, but those are easy to buy at the dealer for about 8 bucks each. $10 fake ITR rear strut bar and $8 sticker= $100+ rear strut bar is what I bet it could be. I remember back in the day I paid over $100 for a nasty fake "JDM ITR" rear strut bar that had a nice sticker.
The best way to compare is the finish of the metal. The oem strut bar ins't all blingin polished. I noticed that the fakes are really light in comparison to the true OEM bar.
Just for thought, anyone compare the nuts/bolts/washers on that one to their OEM one vs. a fake?
I personally think that one in the pic could be real. Ask the guy to get the weight for you.
