fastest street honda - prelude
I dont know how many of you read modified mag, but if you do I bet you've seen the fastest street honda, which was a prelude running 11.22's on a h22a, In reality I doubt that is the fastest street honda but its pretty damned quick, bravo to you prelude guys, you have something now to stick to the type yars owners face. If you read the article in the newest issue of modified mag, they state that the stock cylidner head is pretty strong without doing much alteration, I believe he was running stock cams and gears on this 590whp beast. I read that the h22a in stock form doesnt like to take much boost though, stron head weak bottom I guess. still, you all should check the mag out, just giving some props to the neglected heavy honda prelude.

keep in mind that the article probably states that the Lude is a Daily Driver.
not a trailer bitch, or a car that someone drove to the track and back once or twice to run.

See thats the thing right there, he's not the one with the most power, but he sure can lay it down.
I know someone like that but hell no they arent laying down 11sec time slips. Its all in the driver not the power. Ya feel me?

lol, I suppose your car is faster? 11.2 is'nt that fast lol. personaly I dont call it a street car unless its running on 92 octane. Anything that has to run higher octane is not a street car.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i live in new zealand..and the pump gas is 98octane... in japan its 100+
i consider my car a street car and i run it on 98 octane..

yea, that article states it's the fastest LEGAL prelude. My statement was meant to reflect any prelude street legal or track setup.....so yes, 11.2 is damn fast and probably is the fastest "street legal" prelude in the states.
great setup oaks. i bet that turbo loves that colorado atmosphere!
but wait, the stunnas with the mustangs run 8's yo!!

...and I always say the same thing in these same tired threads. If I drive a 1200hp tube-frame "Honda" down the street, does that mean it's a street car?
No.
A street car is one that passes a smog test, has legal tires, gas tank, windows, runs on gas from a gas station, is legal ride height, working lights and wipers, has insurance, and the insurance company knows what's in it.
Run these "street cars" through this test and get back to us.

Actually to me a street car is full glass, full interior minus the stuff from the front seats back. Could have No PS and AC. Also stock gas tank.
And also im pretty sure thats the whats considered a street car also for when racing under NHRA rules right?(not too sure)

i think its funny that you guys think 11.2 "is not that fast" for preludes.....if we were talking about h22 cars then it would be a diff story.....h22 civic hatches can go out and run 11s with some relatively minor mods, but we are talking in preludes thats damn fast.....
and thanks to 4g63 man, the prelude is heavily neglected in the import world, though its getting better lately.....

yep, neglected becasue they're heavy, but look at every drag honda car thats on the top, what engine do they use? h22a, **** even the drag rsx uses it, k20 what? I so fawken despise 4 cylidner chain driven engines for some reason. 11.22 is fawkin fast and I bet half of us never gon that fast, Also image how that **** pulls on highway runs. And no the prelude isnt red its a blue one.
