question about the 05 Integra Type Rs

Come on, be nice now.
This info is not final, but it's pretty close:
The '05 integra Type-R comes with an all new 2.0L I4 engine, which is a variation of what the S2Ks had prior to this year, before getting the new 2.2L engine.
This engine makes an incredible 290HP at 11.4K RPMs. The suspension has been re-tuned, as all Type-Rs now come with a coilover system developed specifically by Koni. Thicker front and rear sway bars and a front camber kit, which is +/- 4 degree adjustable complements the Koni unit. Mugen helped develop the front and rear strut tower bars, which help an already rigid chassis become even stiffer.
Larger, 17inch wheels are now standard, as are Yokohoma Advan A032R tires. The brakes have also been upgraded, with a custom kit from Brembo: 13.1 inch rotors up front, 11.5 in the rear with 4-piston calipers and SS lines. The transmission has been revised with quicker gear ratios for optimum acceleration. The chassis has been stiffened by over 40%, and the car comes at a weight of only 2350lbs, courtesy of carbon-fiber and aluminum materials used in the construction of the body.
The interior of the car is all business. Sparco racing seats and a short-throw shifter blend nicely with the rest of gauges. There's still A/C, power windows and power doorlocks, although you have the delete option to not get these accessories if you are looking for an all-out track car.
An even more potent version, the Type-R RS is rumored to be in the works, which will bump the HP to over 300, and shave even more weight off the car, among other improvements.
To everyone's surprise, Honda has stated that the MSRP for the 2005 Type-R is $28,500, which is well the Subaru STi and the EVO, which are the main competition for this car.

Just having a little fun, that's all. As someone else said, that's my dream car. Imagine if we got a car like that around here.

dude, the new 05 DC5-R does!
That car is so SICK...
Toda actually helped Honda with the valvesprings and the camshafts. Triple valvesprings which allow for 15mm of lift without bind allow for I-VTECMAX+ which is a new triple stage VTEC which has 4 lobs for every two valves which calls for two vtec crossovers, one at 5000 RPM and another at 8000 RPM alowing for usable power to be devloped all the way to the 11400 RPM redline. Plans orginally called for a 12000 RPM redline, however rumor has it that Honda is going to save the 12000 RPM for the Type R RS
Mugen supplies the factory exhaust header and Intake systems.
The motor has an astonishing 13:1 compression ratio. Peak power (290hp) is made at 10.5k RPM.
The new semi-forged Cast block with EFRM(Enhanced-FRM)sleeves which incorperate a titanium-fiber core to withstand boost up to 45lbs.
Just like the NSX the 05 DC5-R includes Titanium Rods to help withstand the increased rev range. All parts are blueprinted and the head is port and polished in house at Honda. It is said that each honda engineer spends 12 to 15 days per cylinder head.
Their new Crankshaft forging method, MPFP(Max pressure forging process) incoperates technology developed by Volk that increases crankshaft strenth by 10 times over previous forging techniques.
*drool*
I WANT ONE!

Yeah, convertible hardtop
its pretty cool, it actually doesnt take up any trunk space either!

The new optional 18x9 wheels are made of titanium with carbon fiber spokes. Supposed to save 3 kg per wheel.
Did you hear that the new high-pressure exhaust system uses advanced CAD technology developed by Boeing to model the gas flow off of the valves? The valves actually flex at that high RPM, and they use that last motion to create a vacuum in each cylinder.

This **** is crazy... damn... an 8 speed LSD tranny with optional all wheel drive?
Can it also shoot rockets like the James Bond cars and move at the speed of light?

Yeah, at 11.5K RPM they can't meet NOx emissions, so they're sourcing the LS1 from GM.
