Default Legal to shorten collers, and threading radius rods?

This thread sparked my interest:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1038708 (scroll down to the discussion about caster and radius rods)

I Auto-X frequently, and plan on moving to STS/FSP (mostly STS unless my Accord friends come by and run in FSP). As you know, most Hondas have radius rods that connect to the front crossbeam, via a pair of bushings and a steel collar. Is it against the rules to shorten that collar? How about threading the radius rod end further to take up the slack created by the shortened collar?

There is no allowance for any modification whatsoever to the radius arms or collars in either STS or FSP. Sorry.

Thanks!

Hopefully I'll get out to run with you guys again this semester. The super secret pre-nats practice day we did on the concrete at the Annex was extremely helpful to a bunch of us. TAMSCC rocks!

yeah, I remember Jake (our AX chair), mentioning it back in May, and I didn't realize we were holding it until that same Saturday. Almost everyone in the club still doesn't know about it

Yeah, I saw that. BUt ER is having a double-header at Mineral Wells. A bit farther for me from Austin, but two events instead of one. So I'll probably go there.
