Default Finished EK h22 Swap

Got it running about a month ago been drivin real nice. was kind of a bitch to do though.

The B16 came out real easy.

first problem was the right side axle was frozen in the hub. Tried sledge hammer
even a hydrolic press. The thing would not move at all.

My solution was to switch to gsr front Knuckles and brakes

Here are some empty engine bay shots

So then I cut my hole for the shifter assembly and linkage.

Install a exady clutch and jun flywheel.

do all the wirring and drop in the motor.

So hook everthing up get it started take it around the block. It starts surging like crazy. Bring it in find out the brake boster fitting hit the porportioning vale and cracked

Pulled of the upper plenum and drilled and tapped new 90 degree angle fitting and moved valve.

Some finished pics.

looks like a fun car.....how does it handle now...i mean more in cornering and everyday driving.....wondering if it is similar to the EG with the H22 swap.....tends to push in the corners cause of the excess weight of the engine.....so i guess im asking is the car still comfortable and fast or crazy and fast???

is your intake tube going to smack against your shock tower when the motor moves ?

also damn thats a tight fit for the prop valve, never realized it was that tight with h22

Got the flywheel on ebay about a year and a half ago and the clutch recently.
I like the set up but I need some better tires these ones suck. Need some slicks for the track.

I planned for four days but the axle problem slowed me down. and other stuff came up. Worked for 4 days straight and then a few saterdays after ward tying up loose ends. With enough help and nothing going wrong you could probably do this in a little over a weekend.

The b16 has a lot of stuff in it so it's preaty damn good. The h is faster and it's faster earlier. The b16 you had to rev to 9200

The motor realy barly moves at all I used hcp mounts including the front mount
don't think the intake will be a problem.

The b series swap is a hell of a lot easyier and requires less parts. I like it better

It handles preaty good. I had this motor in a 94 accord before. I used my front coilovers from that they are mr suited to handle the weight. It handles preaty good I could probably improve it with some chasis stiffining. I can feel the weight wheen hitting bigger bumps though

I had most the things already from the accord so it wasn't that big a deal. Sold stuff off the accord to by parts I needed like mounts axles. stuff like that. I only got a couple hundred more into it.
