Im looking into starting my new turbo setup for next season and im dealing with the motor first. So here is my question, i want to sleeve a block and i have a choice from three blocks to pick, B16a,B18b, or b18c1 witch would preform best when handleing the 400-600 horse power range and witch would the best sleeves to use and were do i get it done.

no offense man, but do you know what it takes to build a 600hp honda? if you are not sure about sleeves, then you might not.

 

GSR block hands down. It utilizes a girdle.
ERL for sleeving. Not the cheapest, but the best money you can spend on sleeving, period.

All of those blocks will handle the power you want to make. Its a matter of the right combination of parts to make that kind of HP.



Theres plenty of factors that will determine how efficient your setup will be. here's a picture of a sleeved B16. Theres advantages and disadvantages of using b16 and a b18 block. B16s usually have less torque than b18 blocks. We prefer b18s for max power but b16a block can make 400-600 no problem.

Another thing to consider is compression. Most turbo setups are in the low compression, about 9:1 to 10:1. But you can choose to do a higher compression turbo setup if you want. We've done 11:1 turbo setups and the pistons are still flat top and good for forced induction.

You just need to plan more in detail so you can determine what is best for you.

We charge $880 and that includes the Bore, Hone, Hot tank, and Step Deck.

its warrantied for anything related to the sleeve installation process itself.

 

you guys use RS sleeves or dartons?

 

we have our own cut sleeves that we use. RS Machine was using our sleeves.
We use Dartons on certain blocks such as some H-series and D-series.
