Lowering: What all is involved?
i searched but i couldn't find the specifics i wanted.
So what all is involved when you lower a 4th gen. I know springs or coil overs. But what needs to be adjusted...or are there and parts that need to be replaced to make the car suited for lowering.

The cheap way is to just put in short springs. The right way is to put in springs AND shorter struts so you maintain suspension travel. Many people lower their car wayyy too much, thinking it's all for looks; showing their ignorance about the consequences of bottoming the suspension. Having the suspension bottom when cornering can put you off the road in a hurry. How much is too much? It depends on the car and how stiff the springs and shocks are.
A camber kit on each corner would also be good if you go more than 1 1/2" or so.
When I got my car it had only Eibach springs and the struts were all blown, so I agree with doing it the right way

Good point, yes, and a wheel realignment is absolutely necessary after it's lowered. One time I wore through two brand new tires in about 3 months because I was too lazy to do the alignment.
Oh, and another thing about just putting in springs. Because of the risk of bottoming the suspension, usually it's the shocks that bottom. Do that a couple times and it'll destroy them, especially if the bump rubbers were removed.

cost all depends on what brand and such. i say spend $2000 for a good lowering job. this will include shocks, springs, alignment, and camber kit. alot more can go into a suspension, but thems are the basics. good luck.
i dont think its gonna cost you $2000 wow
i got H&R springs and KYB shocks off of ebay for really cheap brand new.
i then had a shop install them, realign the car, and rebalance all the tires.
i did not get a chamber kit because i only dropped 1.35 inches.
this all cost me about $800 in the end....
handling has improved greatly...
best money spent so far on the money pit (my prelude)
PM me if you want picks of what a 1.35 drop looks looks like on the car
