just called crower...h23 cams
he said that for the stage 3 cams it would be 422 for the pair, and 407 for the springs and retainers....coming to a total of 829 plus 20 dollar shipping to nj which would be 849.....asked him what would the highest compression i could run and he sed 11:1...im guessing any higher and there would be clearnace issues?
Hmmm, only 11:1? Did Brian say anything about the specs? Lift/duration? Also $407 sound steep for H23 springs/retainers. Rocket offers springs and retainers for $20 less through Kteller:

This would be great info for my 12.3:1 compression F23/H23 hybrid cam selection. Going stock for now. Talk about undercamming my engine...

Can you post a picture of the cam spec card that came with your cams? Or post the specs on the card like lift, duration, intake and exhaust opening BTDC and closing ABDC?
Also have you dyno'ed them?

And SUB-0 H23, lay off the grammer patrol, he lives on the other side of the world.
I wonder how many Crower cams make it to where you live raser5050. I can't imagine many...

Sorry for jumping on you bout the grammer junk. Sometimes HT members are super hard on others when they can't understand them.
But about your Stage one crowers SUB, I was looking at the cam spec pics and I was wondering if there is some sort of a typo on them. Are the stage ones really an advertised 290/296 degrees duration? That is REALLY serious for a stage one cam. Then later it says that the duration is 193/196 at .050".
Also am I reading it right that there is only 6.5 degrees of overlap? I guess I am not familiar with negative numbers when using ATDC. My friend's crower h22 cams use a little different wording.
Anyway I would love to see some dynos cause the stock cams blow after 5300rpm. Did you figure out your IAB problem? That should give you better torque before 4500

yeah the #s do not seem right... should be more like a ~233 / 245

yes the stock cams are weaksauce in the higher rpms... the IAB does not worry me 'cause the dyno (check out the link in my sig.) shows that the engine does not lose low-range torque
