Default turbo application... anyone here with window weld filled motor mounts???

i've got a turbo gsr in eg and i was wondering, in order, which mounts would be the best to fill?

- upper driver's side
- upper passenger's side
- lower passenger's side
- rear

the reason i am asking is because i plan on doing this according to the article at importnut where he says to fill one at a time, but instead of picking one randomly, i wanted to pick the one that would benefit the most first. please lemme know, thanks.

The center rear mount/bracket is what I'd tackle first. It's the hardest to get at, but it handles most of the engines forward/rearward motion so I believe you'd see the best results with stiffening that first.

Following that, the drivers side upper, and tranny upper (at the same time).

which mounts are "torque mounts"? i have been told that it was the two lower mounts. is this true? wouldnt that make it the best mount to start with? below is a pic to help visualize. what do you think? thanks.

Those are the trq mounts. And the jim fab trq mounts are like 45 bucks. And IMO No, see below.

Torque mounts are the rear, left and right front lower mounts. The enigine and tranny mounts see less torque than the other three so this is why most companies make inserts for those. Over here Japanese race shops use industrial silicone to fill the spaces in the mounts.

another question, is it alright to run around without the left front mount? i know it sounds crazy, but i had to remove it to route the intercooler piping. btw, turbo gsr in an EG.

not quite "just as much money". over $100+ shipping vs $20 max in window weld and a caulk gun

i used industrial strength polyeurethan from lowes and did the AC torque mount and the trasnny torque mount, i used the energy suspension mount insert on the drivers upper and rear tranny, and then fabricated and adjustable mount kinda like a dampner mount but way more stiff and i have about ZERO engine movement,

but remember all that inertia shock will go somewhere else when not absorbed by the mounts, and that usually into the tranny, clutch or drive axles.................sometimes its better to have a little motor movement

Do ther rear and the front lowers (torque mounts) The others should be okay depending on the mileage of the car. Window Weld is good **** and cheap. I know we use it on all of our cars.

i did the 3 main mounts, dont plan on runnin tranny torque mount, im only running the driver torque mount because i have a/c, but i used something better than windo weld, and i recommend this way over the windo weld method.

hers some info on it...
