Default Able to Connect to Freelog but all the data that is logged is incorrect

Freelog 1.0.0.93 connected to COMM port #4
Moates Xtreme Hulog
GSR p72 ECU, J12 removed
GM 3-bar MAP sensor
AEM UEGO wideband
Tuned originally by Churchs Automotive Tuning with Crome (don't know what version)

So I get everything installed and connected to begin. Right when I turn the ignition on with the motor off, automatically all the data that is logged is noticeable incorrect (for example TPS at 100, Speed at 148, RPM at 31,etc). When I turn the engine on, everything was still logging incorrect date all over the place. If my tuner was able to log to tune my car, I can obviously make this work but I dont know how. You can see what I am logging with the link below and really see how messed up everything is. Someone please help me get this working!

hahaha, i love this site!! im having the same issues with my hulog and crome (free). ive messed with the settings (i.e. crome 1.4, crome 1.2, freelog 1 etc.) and would manage to get TPS and MPH working but RPM's are alll over the place and im sure some other data is off to. any info? RPM's would either go from a constant 7659 rpm to 3465 when excelerating, no in between. or in another setting i would get a whole bunch of matrix numbers (100101100101) like im neo and ive just taken the red pill.......HEELLP. FYI datalogging has been enabled in crome and J4 removed (JDM P72)

that happened to me too. I was driving a non VTEC car and it kept saying VTEC was enabled. I finally got it working by copy and pasting my maps into an older version of crome.

yea, i get those "matrix" numbers too and have nothing right, at least it shows your speed and TPS, my speed says 138 when i am parked and TPS at 100-105 the whole time

mine says vtec on and off too when im in park!

so we all had these problems and no real answers huh.

You kind of need to know what version you are using to log.

Crome changed it datalogging protocol a little while back. So you need to have the right one in the program to log it properly.

If your using Crome 1.5 and have Crome 1.4 selected under settings and you have Quickdatalogger + RTP enabled on the ROM it SHOULD work.

Got a reply from my tuner and he said he used Crome Pro v1.5 to tune my car. I have the Data command on Crome v1.4 in FreeLog 1.0.93 with these problems. Something I came across on PGMFI.org is that there is a different quickDL+RTP plugin specifically for P72 ECUs (which I have) and is available to download here http://www.tunewithcrome.com/plugins.html So I am waiting on my burner to add that specific plugin and see if it works. I guess a lot of P72 users came across the same problem as I did, either datalogging incorrect values or unable to connect, and once they added the specific P72 plugin, that seemed to solve their problems. I will keep you guys updated.

Glad to hear you got yours to work fine, thanks for the support too. Hopefully I've figured it out with this plugin.

So I need other answers now. I received my chip burner and burnt another chip with the P72-specific quickDL+RTP plugin available to download off crome's website and it didn't work. I am still logging incorrect values, right from the start. I turn the key to the on position and still have all the wrong values.

HELP!!!!!

latest version of crome? latest version of freelog? try reinstalling the programs as nothing should be changed in the settings other then the com port for the hulog/freelog.

I will just scale it so it works in my stock gsr

It definitely has the 1.40 and up datalogging code on it.

Do you have J12 removed from your ecu?

yea, J12 is removed. how were you able to check if the plugin is installed? Everytime you add a plugin, a popup box says its added and thats all. I cant find an option or table that displays the active plugins in the rom.

I disassembled the rom and looked directly at the code.

Everything is fine in the rom. It has the newest datalogging code in it.

It has to be the parameters in freelog itself. If I am not busy tomorrow I will check it out.

does the rom having p30 old fuel tools when my ECU is a p72 affect datalogging values?
