Default Car was tuned on crome with a 2 step... how can I go about changing my 2 step RPM?

Alright, I had my car tuned via Crome, and everything runs 100%

I have my 2 step set up at 4500RPM's, but would like to be able to switch it on the go-

how can I go about doing so? I used to have a moates burner, but my laptop is vista, and it would never run/burn correctly so I gave up on that-

I do have 2 chips with the same tune on it, so is it possible to mail one of the chips to a reputable tuner, and have him duplicate chips for me and make me say a 5k, 5500, 6k, 6500, 7k ect chips and I can switch at the track?

Anyone willing to do this for me? Im willing to pay obviously, and i know chips are only about 1.45$ from digikey so its pretty cheap in labor-

Or could I get a MSD 2 step and use that?

thanks!

yes, you could use multiple chips and thats really the only way you are going to be able to do it unless you have him setup the launch control based on TPS % instead of vehicle speed.

Is this somethign that tuners normally do? By that i mean do they normally take tunes and modify them for customers by mail? thanks!

they can if needed.

learn how to use TPS based launch control and you wont have to worry about switching chips just to get a different 2 step.

Any tuner should be able to do that for you

Is that where you hold a RPM with the VSS reading 0, and then punch it, and it sets it there? If so is this somethign that needs tuned into the ecu? thanks!

you have to be below a specified MPH threshold and above a specified RPM threshold and you have to press the throttle % beyond a specified threshold in order for the limiter to engage.

i have mine set at below 10mph (for traction purposes), above 30%, above 3000 rpm. those are the thresholds.

so as long as you meet those, you can launch at whatever RPM you want.

Thanks for your input- I just emailed my tuner (howard at RLZ engineering) and im gona see what he can do for me-

this would be awesome for me, as then i could do a good burnout without dealing with the launch control on then set it- thanks!

I wanted to hear from my tuner first about the TPS feature, and now that he is not aware of it, I emailed him

if you are going to stay with crome you are going to need a moates 2-timer. that way you can have two different twostep/revlimit settings on one chip. goto moates.net and search for the 2-timer.

By that do you mean purchase the 2 timer, and that way I can have a few different chips in there at a time for easy switching at the strip?

do a little research before asking questions buddy. Read about the 2-timer and it will make sense.
