How old were you when you started riding and what was your first bike?
I am curious as how old everybody was when they started riding and what their first bike was.
I am after street riding, not dirtbikes.
My first bike was a GSX-R600 and I was 14

So how exactly, in america, did you register/title/get licensed to commute on a 600 at 14 years old?

in many stated in the south, you can get your motorcycle license up to two years sooner than you can drive a car solo. I know South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and a couple other states are like that.
I passed my MSF and motorcycle test at 14, got my first bike with the help of my mom and had it paid off by the time I was 16. My mom was all for me getting a bike. I literally grew up on things with two wheels. I raced dirtbikes and I still race BMX til this day at a professional level. I also got my first car at 14 but had to wait 2 years to drive it
. I got a busted *** 1978 F-150 of which I rebuilt and completely fixed before i could drive it. I still have the old girl. She treats me well. The bike on the other hand is long gone to a woman that rear ended a car going around 80mph. She is no longer with us.

Where I am from, 14 is accepted also. Such though, you can't start on something big..restricted 50cc is how it goes...

I told my mom I wanted one when I was 17 she said no. I moved out a few weeks later when I turned 18 and was finally able to sign a rental agreement. Got a bike soon after.
