Default GT3076R - New Numbers

Previously I made 503whp @ 21psi where it would spike to 24psi around 5.5-6k and then fall off to 21 through redline. That was using a greddy profec s-spec controller and solenoid.

I just changed to hondata s300 boost managment with GM solenoid this weekend. We were able to make it hit 28psi but it still falls off quick and wouldn't hold 28 until 9k.

We swaped springs on my wastegate and the diaphram didn't look so hot. I'm gonna try and find a V44 gate to borrow to see if that is my problem. We are kinda puzzled on why it is having boost control issues over 20psi. Anything under is rock solid.

Few specs under the hood:
B18C1 9:1 Laskey assembled
84mm CP Pistons
Pauter Rods
Benson Sleeved
Headwork by Portflow
3-angle cut/P&P
Supertech valvetrain
JDM ITR cams/full-race gears
Full-Race Intake Manifold
Full-Race stage2gt/ac GT3076R .82 a/r
PWR Radiator
Thermal 3"
RC 1000cc
AEM Rail / Aeromotive FPR
Hondata S300 P28
Qualife LSD
ACT XTR6/Streetlite
GM 3bar
GM boost solenoid

Arthur @ Trackmasters did the additional tunning

Brewer's Picture from Import Alliance 2007

Picture from April at Stage6Motorsports - Car looks different under the hood but it gives you the general idea. (red valve cover, Tein strut bar, aeromotive remote mounted fpr, Tony1 catch can, etc)

.7bar spring

Haven't tried a manual. This was the first boost change since the greddy setup. I might try one as i'm sure there is one around the shop but something makes me think it may be the wastegate or a weird vacuum issue.

i would try a higher psi base spring to start off maybe a 13psi spring or so. manual controller if you have one lying around, they are easy to setup and work fairly well at or below double the spring.

I have to second that motion....go with a bigger spring just to eliminate it as an issue.

Not sure the exact number right this second. Once I get the car on the street i'll datalog it and know exactly. From a glance over my tuners shoulders it looked to fall down to about 22-23 psi at 9k.

Seems pretty good for a medium sized turbo. I had a gt28r before this so i know what instant spool feels like. I'll double check what full boost comes on at when I datalog it but I think it was over 20psi by 5500rpm.

it may not be holding boost because thats about all that turbo will do.

over 500 is tough on a gt30 turbine

I've seen similar setups do 550-580whp with a gt30r. If I could hold 25+ to redline i figured I would see similar numbers.

I agree. Every car/setup is different. Maybe with the new spring you will have better luck Great power either way and I am sure it's fun

if you can hold that 400 ft lbs a bit farther even 500 more rpm you are looking at a ton of more power.
