Default s300 analog input to datalog fuel pressure.

i know i need an 8bar 5 volt pressure transducer,(atleast, that will give me 105psi, running 80 +- now) but can the s300's analog input be used with that to log fuel ressure? all i would need is the scaling like the wideband correct? meaning 0v= 0psi and 5v= 100psi so on and so forth. i know there is one or 2 things needed to be done to the board though.

i was having problems with my fuel system and i think i have it nailed down now, but would like to know if my pump is dropping off up top, not that it is now but would like to see if there is any decline in performance.

We have those on our rigs at work, don't have to bother paying any attention to anything until we see the light

So he would be seeing a light anytime he's under 75psi of fuel pressure ?

i see the point on the light ryan, but looking at it, i think it can be done. its just a thought.

it could be done but would have to be calibrated to be correct

and they have a cal chart much like a wideband.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by rota92 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Technically yes, or he could have it set to 38 and run a base of 40.

I just used 75 as a reference

Datalogging is nice, but if its too late...well its too late lol</TD></TR></TABLE>

i also see what you mean ryan, BUT it could show impending doom also.
with all my fueling issues i have had, to me it would be nice to know whats goin on. plus i dont like 80+psi fuel pressure staring me in the face. if im getting an electrical gauge, that defeats my whole purpose. he hee. Unless, ha ha, autometer gauges use a 5v reference, something to look into.

well considering the weldon lasted 3 passes before it broke the drive coupler (it is designed to do that) it is kinda personal paranoia. it probably was because the tank wasnt vented enough. and started caving in on itself.

Run the aem 0-150 psig sensor for the fuel pressure. The voltage vs pressure chart should look like this:

Voltage: Pressure:
0.5 0.0
1.00 18.80
1.50 37.50
2.00 56.30
2.50 75.00
3.00 93.80
3.50 112.5
4.00 131.3
4.50 150.0

Its a linear scale, so it interpolates on the chart to get the reading. I just set up fuel/oil pressure on a customers car with the AEM 0-150psig sensors and it works well.

I like this idea alot. Would allow you to datalog all the values to take a look at afterwards, so you can concentrate on putting a good lap down.

I have hondata S300, quite new to it. I think its quite easy to connect the sensor to the analog input, but is there away of getting the software to do the Voltage &gt; PSI conversion...?

you attach a number to the voltage, on the high and low, it interpolates it, you know that that channel is psi. easy.
