one fab top mount: how the **** can i run the dp? pics included
first off, i planned on 4" dp. i dont want to hear you dont need it, bandwagon bs. im going big power, and can get a good price, so thats what i want...now dont get me wrong, if i cant fit it, thats ok, just tell me, but i dont want to here i dont need it...
ok so i dont see anywhere i can fit the dp. i took pics of the only place i can imagine, under the tranny. but as u see as the pics go on, theres no room with the radiator in. even if i put on a pusher insted of puller fan, the upper hose and such is in the way! anyone running this mani, i would love pics. anyone with ideas pls chime in...

someone makes a smaller aftermarket front torque mount.. forget who..
but i thought you were going for BIG power...so just save yourself the time and hassle and run it out the bumper. you could even fit a small burns stainless muffler in the bumper.

Well, the design of the topmount pretty much shuts the door without having to do more fab. It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks to me the best bet is to redesign the front crossmember and front mount in order to make room.
Get a piece of 4" pvc or something and just try to place it in different areas and come up with the best solution. It just seems to me that the front mount is your biggest problem at this point, and something needs to be done to address that.

mike93: if i decide to run in spfwd i need full exhaust, thats why...plus even though its not "really" a street car, it does have plates
rc000E:the cross member will be replaced with traction bars soon, just waiting on their release. im gonna go pull the front mount and look, but honestly even without it, i dont see how it can make the bend and fit without hitting the slave cylinder...i like having all 4 mounts, but i can do without the front i guess, the other 3 are solid mounts
but thanks for the ideas so far guys, its helping me come up with some thoughts!
oh and sorry about the pics, i snapped them on my phone..

I know all about this. Prelude crossmember clearing issues suck ***. This is how we did our setup when I ran the stock crossmember. Shaved down the side of the stock mount bracket along with the crossmember. The DP will have to kinda of "S" but it will work just fine

After the traction bar with front torque mount plenty of room to put a 6inch Dp in you wanted too

Say byebye to your front motor mount and if you run my traction bar you'll have more than enough room. I'll most likely have to custom fab you a front motor mount if you are still on stock mounts. If you run the innovative mounts you can ditch the front motor mount.

everyone thanks for the help and ideas. i think im going to run it kind of like md23vtec shown. i had to add my own twists cause of the low pipes on this mani. well see what they say tomorrow at the exhaust shop.i dont think i will have to run hard line from the radaitor, but i did have to convert to pusher fan and move it a little... now to spend the rest of the night finishing off some other last min stuff.
spoolin, when i talked to anthony last week, he said they were just about ready, so i didnt want to jump the gun, glad to hear they're ready.
anthony, im not running innovative mounts, but they're not stock. lets just say they look like they're stock, but they're solid as a rock

maybe a stupid idea but trun the turbo around so the hot side is on the driver side and run a dp under the crank pulley???

even if somehow could run the dp like that, still wont work. turning it around sits the compressure so foward the hood wont close...trust me, we tryed it
.
i think i got it. i'll let everyone know what my guy says when i show up tomorrow...and post up pics when its done...
