ran into this image and decided to play a little with it....hopefuly honda will make another crx, and I would think it should look a little something like this.

Looks sick. I wonder if it could be done...go out and buy an Insight...some custom body work to make the wheelwells look normal, throw a k20 in the bay...
Can you re-work that pic with regular round wheel wells both front and rear without the little notch in them? Just curious how it'd look.

redid rear wheel well to look like fronts
removed rear wiper
made little lip wing a little bigger
lowered it

anything can be done with enough dough to play around....can't rework pic at work sorry....but will do when I get home
redid rear wheel well to look like fronts
removed rear wiper
made little lip wing a little bigger
lowered it
lowered front facia...kinda like a lip
slapped on the works
tint
brightness/contrast adjustments...

yeah that chop has been around for years^^^^^

I toyed around with the idea of doing an Insight with the rear wells opened up and a B-Series. Strip the whole car of the hybrid material. The only thing you would also have to do is get wheel spacers for the rear. The rear wheels sit closer to the center of the car than the fronts do. It looks very weird when you are directly behind one.

Those chops would make really nice cars, but they look like 2002 models. Hondas are getting edgier all the time. Remember what their own design concept for a new CRX (Honda Remix) looked like:

I think you should go for it, I would if I had the cash to sling, and thats a good point on the rear suspension, makes me wonder, isn't this chasis shared with em2 civics??
It might even be posible to just swap rear trailing arms
