When i got this thing, it was bad. i saw what the guy was doing and i wanted to save her. So this is my new project

Starting the De-Rice process


Day 2:
The hood is my friends, his car is in the shop and he said the hood was just collecting dust, and he wanted to see how it looked on a car.






I want to either paint the rims or get new ones. Im also planning on painting it black (by a shop, not like i did with the blue)
I just didnt feel like driving around with a 5 tone car, so i went with one color for a temp paint.
I took the front bumper, wing, and side skirts off and im trying to sell/trade um for stock parts.
Tell me what you think, and any ideas for it.
Im still not sure if i want to put door handels back on....should i or keep um shaved? i dont want rice....
I got it for a steal, so i was willing to deal with fixing what the previous owner did

so tell me what you think

Ehhh its still ugly. Are you getting new doors, or getting side molding?

gah, just part it out... you'll make much more.

 

i want door handels. i want it black and i DONT want white rims at all. so over all, im going to return it to stock. i have alot to do though. but im getting there quickly. i already have someone interested in trading parts. so.....ill get pictures up once i get things looking right

 

what color did you use for paint..?

 

royal blue, the cheep paint that is like $0.95 a can, lol. but its better than 5 colors, i dont care, im getting a real paintjob once i get the stock bumper and hood on it

 

definitely put door handles and side moldings back on, and ditch the m3 style mirrors

 

oh yea, the mirrors are going too. its going to look stock again. but i only paid 3000 for it. so im willing to deal with the work i have to do

 

and the motor is boost ready, so thats a plus, i dont have to worry about buying the internals

 

I WOULD NOT trust anything the previous owner said. look at it for god sake. lol

 

Dang without those side moldings the car looks so plain.

the only stuff wrong wtih it is the outside, the interior is clean and it runs great. i just have to get the body lookin right, thats it. i know it looks like crap, i agree. which is why its a PROJECT car. It will be good to look at one day

 

keep it up.

 

keep the door handles and side moldings shaved get rid of the rest of the exterior. your friends' hood looks like a wings west piece

Is the side of that car all bondo?

 

the body still need alot of work. i can tell right away, if ur gonna do the shaved looked u need straight bodylines and perfect curves. that bodyline is messy, it def needs a second (maybe a third) pass. i had to do three passes on the body my car to get immaculate. i like it tho, if i saw that thing for 3000, i wouldnt have blinked regardless of the rice. atleast only the outside was infected wit rice, i dont see any painted airvents on the dash or neon orange seat covers(well the gauges, but ill let em pass this time).


get rid of the mirrors and rims
everything else u already have done or have planned is is perfect

i have a guy interested in trading bumpers, so that should help out with the way it looks alot

Ighhh the money you're going to dump into that load you could've bought a clean example. What a waste and it still looks ugly.
