Default MY LS/VTEC BUILD! (56k please beware)

well here is my LS/VTEC build. don't want to put any specs out so just enjoy the pics k!

this is what it's going into. my 1990 DA integra RS

my block b18a1 freshly built, cleaned, and painted!

ARP headstuds ARE a MUST!

B16 head installed! coming along fine!

i like the camo!

stock intake manifold for now till my skunk2 comes in!

power steering? i think i'll keep it..

4-1. 2 1/2". mad cheap. i'll take it for my n/a build till my turbo is ready!

another freshly re-built tranny courtesy of jarrod from HONDOCTORS (las vegas). freshly cleaned and also painted!

motor all put together and raedy to be dropped in!

motor in and ready for the test drive!

sorry no pics of when i was dropping the motor in. kind of hard to take pics and drop the motor in all at the same time when you're working by yourself. took the car out for it's first test drive and OH BOY was it fun! just need better tires since i'm getting no traction through 3rd. it was a fun build but the oil leaks are just BITCHES! lol. got them all though! next would be my turbo install and a wire tuck. probably wire tuck first, then turbo install. lol! feel free to leave a comment.

Actually, I painted the inside on mine, and I like it, So I guess I'm wrong.

OP, sounds like you tore on it once the motor was in,
that wasn't a fresh rebuild was it?

He posts pics and description of his engine build, and all you comment on is some dumb appearance crap.

your cylinder walls don't look like they had any machining done to them, that's why we're asking about your fresh rebuild. did your machine shop at least hone out your cylinders before putting in new rings? if the cylinders also needed to be bored out, it would also need oversize pistons. from this pic, it looks like you can still see cylinder egging on cyls. 1 & 4, and ridges of carbon at the top of the cylinders. it really doesn't look like they honed or bored anything. if so, those new rings are going to **** up rather quickly.

i'm not trying to rain on your parade. really... but i just don't want to see you post again in 500 miles wondering why you engine's throwing out black smoke and has no power. these engines need precision work done to them if you want them to work precisely. you really do get out what you put into them, in gas mileage, power, smoothness, idle quality, throttle response, etc.

do you have a receipt of what that says what the machine shop actually did to your motor?

I hope that you used GSR main and rod bearings!!! You might as well take the power steering belt of now because the pulley are slightly offset from each other and the belt will come off!!
